Winter Solstice Gathering ~ December 20, 2021
Brigit Viksnins takes you meditatively through energetic clearings of self, family, social groups and the world, enhancing boundaries as well as your heart coherence. Some Latvian songs are shared.Practices from traditional Latvian winter solstice rituals, for deepening your connection with the unconditional spiritual aspects of the sun, a warming mother goddess in that cosmology. Before listening to the recording, you might like to ponder the lightest and darkest aspects of the past year, and consider aspects of the year to come. To create a rich experience, it is suggested you have the following on hand:
- Drum, bell or pot with wooden spoon, or other object(s) to make a bit of noise.
- Divination or Tarot deck (at one point, cards will be drawn).
- A form of light, like candles.
- Seasonal decorations, like evergreens. (Be sure to communicate with any tree you trim, asking permission and giving thanks for branches you harvest.)
- Two or more pieces of paper and a pen. (You may want to burn one or both pieces, in a safe fire after the gathering.)
Brigit Viksnins, MAT, SEP, RCST®, LMT, BCTMB, who has been studying BCST since 1996, now teaches her own safety and danger-based version of working with the body security system, Alchemical Alignment, based on various modalities: Aikido, Somatic Experiencing, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Body Into Being from Ray Castellino and Anna Chitty (which included Polarity and Pre- and Perinatal Healing principles), and also myofascial and metaphysical work. Brigit enjoys synthesizing and presenting the essential elements of her clinical experience regarding alchemizing states of danger and imprint, and cultivating states of safety and blueprint. Learn about programs offered at: AlchemicalAlignment.com. Her Latvian heritage provides a rich nature-based cosmology and ritual practice that can blend seamlessly with our work.

Dynamic Equilibrium, with Roger Gilchrist, MA, RPE, RCST® ~ April 19, 2021
Roger Gilchrist leads a centering practice that explores dynamic equilibrium. This principle in Craniosacral Biodynamics can be found in stillness and in action. It is the action of dynamic equilibrium that keeps the living system in balance. Rhythmic balanced interchange is a function of dynamic equilibrium. Roger explores dynamic equilibrium via the structure of the body, the movement of energy, the tide of primary respiration, and the equipoise of the field.
Winter Solstice Community Meditation ~ December 21, 2020
Meditation: Lucie Mitchell, RCST®, BCTA/NA Board Chair
Music: Chakra Healing with Singing Bowls: Linda Robinson, RCST®, BCTA/NA Board Member "Dawn" (from the album "Flying), by Garth Stevenson
Poem: (read by Jennifer Song, RCST®, BCTA/NA President)
Legacy by Joseph M. Goldstein
Do not think because the light you cast is firefly soft And gentle as the scent of sandalwood that it does not truly make a difference in the soft corners of the world
You are at it’s center and so you cannot see your candle glow of inspiration dart
its evanescent gleam down the corridors of forever.
