BCTA/NA Membership Categories, Criteria and Benefits

RCST® ($140 Yearly Membership, with a $50, one-time application fee)
An RCST® member shall have completed the required training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with an approved BCTA/NA teacher(s), as currently defined by the Board, and shall have provided proof of graduation and letter of recommendation from their approved foundation treacher, to the BCTA/NA Administration.

Peer Organization – Community, connection, and professional growth.

Distinction in the Field – RCST® designation distinguishes the RCST® practitioner as a highly trained professional in the marketplace.

Liability Insurance – Professional liability insurance is available to our US and Canadian RCST® members through the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). AMTA provides RCST® members with liability insurance and full AMTA membership benefits and merchant discounts.  Visit the AMTA website for the complete list.
To enroll, for the $179 discounted AMTA membership annual fee, including liability insurance and AMTA member benefits, call AMTA 1-877-905-0577 and submit BCTA/NA member registration number.
Liability insurance includes: Coverage of up to $2 million per occurrence/$6 million aggregate for professional liability, general liability, products and personal injury.  Download your Certificate of Insurance free from the AMTA website.

Promotion –  RCST® Practitioner Referral listing of the BCTA/NA website.

Professional Advocacy – Staying abreast of legislative threats on our members’ Right to Practice. Pro-actively creating Legislative Information packets and informing members of actions they can take.  Contact us if you have any concerns in your area.

Education –  Discounted BCTA/NA’s biennial conference tuition. Discounted tuition for other related educational webinars/seminars.  Go to BCTA/NA Related Courses

Leadership – Opportunity to influence the development of the organization by involvement and service on the committees and/or run for election to the Board of Directors.

Vote – RCST® members have an important voice in choosing their BCTA/NA elected Directors.  Each member shall have one (1) vote.

RCST® ‘ON SABBATICAL’ ($50 Yearly Membership)
An RCST® member On Sabbatical is choosing to take a year off from practice and is not seeing clients.

An RCST® ‘On Sabbatical’ has all the above RCST member benefits with the exception of their practitioner referral website listings personal contact information updated to designate, ‘On Sabbatical’.

TEACHER ($225 Yearly Membership)
A teacher member is approved by the BCTA/NA to teach foundation trainings in accordance with BCTA/NA guidelines, Standards for Practitioner Competencies and other requirements.

TEACHER/RCST® ‘On Full Sabbatical’ ($50 Yearly Membership)
An Approved Teacher ‘ON FULL SABBATICAL’ is a teacher/practitioner member who is choosing to take a year off from teaching and their clinical practice.  A Teacher ‘On Full Sabbatical’ has all the above member benefits with the exception of their Approved Teacher and Practitioner website listings personal contact information being updated to designate, ‘On  Full Sabbatical’.

STUDENT ($35 Yearly Membership)  
A student member is currently enrolled in a foundation training taught by approved BCTA/NA teacher(s) that are present at all times in the training, as currently defined by the Board, and will provide proof of training enrollment to BCTA/NA Administration if requested.

A student’s first year membership is complimentary.
If a student  applies between January 1st and May 31st, their complimentary membership will then extend to the next renewal year. Please note that upon renewing, the Annual Student Renewal Form with the renewal fee of $35 US is to be submitted.  If a student has already graduated from their foundation training, the Association invites them to apply for RCST® Membership.

ALLIED ($50 Yearly Membership)
An allied member shall be a person:

  • with an interest in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, professional or otherwise
  • a student or graduate of any form of cranial sacral therapy
  • a member of the general public

CORPORATE/BUSINESS  ($250 Yearly Membership)
A Corporate/Business Membership is any company, association or business, duly registered within its jurisdiction, that wishes to support the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. A corporate/business member does not have voting privilege.  Their support will be listed on our website with a link to their website , unless they prefer anonymity.
