Instructions for Downloading and Viewing PDFs

This website occasionally posts information in PDF files. PDF files are a standard method of presenting 'printed' documents in electronic form. You can view, download, and print PDF files. On this site, PDF files appear as underlined hyperlinks.

If you click a link to a PDF file and you're lucky, you will see the contents of the PDF file. Often, however, and especially if the file is large, you will wait and wait to see a single page, and then wait and wait again if you want to see the next page.

To avoid the wait, you can download the PDF file to your own computer, and then once the file is saved safely to your computer, you can open it up and view it without waiting each time you want to scroll to a new page.

Instructions for downloading a PDF file vary slighly depending if you are using an Apple (Macintosh) computer or a PC.

You Need Adobe Reader to Open PDFs! (It's FREE)
You can download PDFs but that won't help you unless you have the software that is needed to view them. To view PDFs, you need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. It's free from the Adobe website. Just click the previous link to download the Adobe Reader software. Once it is downloaded, follow the instructions on the Adobe site to install it. Once it is installed, you'll only have to install it again if you remove it from your computer or the version you installed gets out of date. If you already have Acrobat Reader on your computer and have ANY trouble opening any of the PDFs on our site, go to the Adobe web site and install the most recent version of Acrobat Reader.
