Living a biodynamic
life is the healthiest thing I can offer the world and I would
like to assist in creating an organization which reflects the
biodynamics of our work.
I live in Durham, North
Carolina, off the beaten path, on the edge of a pond with my husband
Edward, my mother Gert, and two German Shepherds, Luna and Puck.
I have a private practice offering Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy,
somatic work, Pilates and a variety of massage techniques.
I began my relationship
with CSTA/NA serving as the Student Representative to the board
of directors from 2002-2003. It was at this point that I felt
there was a need for community building. So, I invited our members
to join together monthly at a designated time in sitting with
Primary Respiration and holding the intention of peacefulness.
At the end of my term
as Student Representative I became the RCST® chairperson,
and continue to serve in this position. Presently I am also a
member of the Education Committee, the Conference Committee and
am one of three editors on the Cranial Wave. My experience with
the association has given me a working knowledge of what would
be expected of me as a board member—representing all of
the members in the decision making process, while upholding the
integrity and mission of the association.
My prior qualifications
include working on the board of directors of the North Carolina
Dance Alliance and developing two nonprofit organizations. I have
a teaching career which spans from 1972 to the present My last
teaching job involved developing a dance department at the Durham
School of the Arts. In these capacities I have honed my skills
in writing course proposals and curriculum, and have served on
two education committees.
I am very committed
to assisting in the process of CSTA/NA's continued growth to full
professional organizational functioning and would be honored to
serve you on the board.
